About us

A boutique coaching and consulting firm, Crescente Advisors specializes in developing investors and those who lead them.

With 25 years of industry experience, we serve as a thought partner and trusted advisor to industry leaders who want to strategically evolve their organizations and develop the talent necessary to exceed clients' expectations. We do this by unlocking actionable self-awareness. To that end, our passion is reflected in our name: Crescente, which comes from the Latin word “to grow.”

Leveraging a proven model that’s rooted in behavioral finance and the science of decision-making, we work with investors to identify and optimize their unique strengths, overcome behavioral biases, and develop an understanding of the risk appetite that each investor brings to their decision-making. Our strengths-based approach and scientifically validated assessments provide customized insights into your team’s unique behaviors—helping you improve decision-making and outcomes.

While based in Boston, Crescente works with investment teams around the world and has extensive experience operating across diverse cultures and geographies. Our strategic solutions include succession, next-generation talent development, and helping leaders get the best contributions from their teams.

About Christine

Christine A. Scordato
Managing Director and Founder

Before founding Crescente Advisors, Christine led the human resources team for the investors at Wellington Management for 16 years, where she focused on organizational strategy and investor development across asset classes. She is a Fellow at the Harvard Institute of Coaching and a member of their Strategy Council. Certified as both as an executive coach through Columbia University and a systemic team coach through the London-based Academy of Executive Coaching, she is skilled at working with both teams and individuals and frequently work outside the United States (lots of Zooming these days!)

Prior to Wellington, Christine worked at Putnam Investments in a number of roles, including head of Learning and Development, lead business partner for the investment function, and developer of both the early career investment programs and diversity and inclusion efforts. She began her career as a researcher and program manager at the consulting firm, Catalyst, and The Japan Foundation after graduating cum laude from Smith College, Christine also earned her master’s degree at Harvard University.

An avid gardener, traveler, student of cultures, and collector of intriguing people, Christine (and her husband, Sean Gallagher), always save a seat at their dinner table for friends—old and new.

“Her practical, common sense approach to coaching across all asset classes is rare but rarer still is her ability to think strategically and creatively about the needs of the wider investment business."
